Murder mystery puzzles Vosloorus cops

Vosloorus police is appealing to anyone who has any information to assist with the investigation.

The police in Vosloorus urge members of the public who may have witnessed a shooting incident on the night of October 6 at about 9.30pm at house 2488 in Jiyane Street in Dindela Section, Vosloorus, to help them with their investigation.

According to Capt Piet Rossouw, the media spokesperson for the Vosloorus SAPS, the man, who was apparently shot, said he managed to drive to the local hospital but lost control of his vehicle.

“Community members managed to free him from the vehicle, but he succumbed to his injuries,” Rossouw said.

Community members alleged that the deceased was shot by two unknown persons at his home. It is believed that the deceased was a taxi owner and former uMkonto we Sizwe veteran.

At this stage the motive for the murder remains unknown.

Vosloorus police is appealing to anyone who has any information to assist with the investigation.
