Paralympic bronze medalist Gavin Kilpatrick is extending an invitation to the community to join Lida Alberts on her big ride on September 5. The inspirational duo will be cycling the streets of Brackenhurst. Lida suffered an ischemic stroke in March 2015. The big ride will be made possible by partners VIP-Sport, Bisco, Uvex Sport SA and Panda Sports.

Gavin said: “After many pain staking hours of rehabilitation, she has reached a point in her recovery process to reignite her passion for the sport of cycling that she so dearly loves.”

Lida told the RECORD that she cannot wait to ride again and feel the wind in her face. The community is urged join them on their first journey and to show them support in great numbers.
