EMPD Swat Unit arrests man after chop shop discovered.

Five reported stolen light delivery vehicles (LDVs), carcasses and chassis worth R1 000 000, which were once Toyota Hilux bakkiees, with case numbers registered at the Edenvale, Parkview, Randburg and Honeydew police stations, were recovered by the EMPD Swat (Intervention) Unit on Wednesday, in the Johannesburg area.

While attending a session in the Johannesburg area, the EMPD Swat Unit members received GPS coordinates from a vehicle tracking company for a stolen Toyota Corolla sedan.

They followed the signal to a building in Barbara Road.

When the officers arrived at the building they found a 46-year-old man, who said he was the owner of the premises.
