The home team came from a goal down to end up winning the encounter 2-1 with the brace scored by Bheki Seabe.
The game started at a high tempo with the visitors attacking from all sides. But the home team managed to contain the visitors. Half-time score was 0-0.
In the 53 minutes the visitors took the lead. However, a header from Seabe in the 66th minute cancelled the visitors’ lead.
Seabe increase the score for his side, giving the home team victory.
The Garden Village scored a goal which was disallowed, causing the side’s technical to be unhappy with the referee’s decision. The referee stood his ground, ruling the goal an offside.
Garden Village coach Sandile Magwebu said: “I feel what happened here today is not fair to us. I have nothing against All Nations FC, they did nothing wrong and played their normal football which they played when they beat us 1 – 0 at home a few weeks ago.
“As Garden Village we will take this loss like professionals and go back to fix the mistakes we made today.”
Tumelo Mokgotho, coach of the home team, said they are happy about the points, but conceded that they did not play well, and did not deserve to win
“It was not our day. Our game plan did not work for us, but hard work and luck worked to our advantage as we managed to get the maximum points. We played against a very good team, but unfortunately luck was not on their side.
The goal scorer Seabe said: “I feel good about scoring and helping my team to win this clash. This was a team effort, and would like give praise to my teammates and the technical team. They were all influential.”
