Vuyelwa Mbatha (23) from Vuyelwa Mbatha (23), is ready to take the entertainment industry by storm.
She is currently studying marketing management at IMM Graduate School.
She told Kathorus MAIL she grew up looking to Oprah Winfrey, Felicia Mabuza-Suttle and Carol Bouwer for inspiration.
“I want to build my dream of becoming a businesswoman by branding my name as a media personality, especially as a radio presenter. And as a flexible person I wouldn’t mind exercising my talent in other media spaces such as being talk show host,” Mbatha said.

To show how serious she is about her career as a presenter, she acquired training for a month at local radio station Kasie FM in September 2018.
“I never looked back, as I impressed during my training and ended up being granted an opportunity to be a part-time presenter, where I stood in for one of the most popular shows on the station, Rocka-Fela, which airs on Fridays and Saturdays between 9pm and midnight,” Mbatha said.
She also said she made a few appearances on the Lover’s Nest and the Lovers’ Affairs, which airs between 9pm and midnight mid-week.
“I was also asked to stand in on the training grounds,” she said.
Mbatha took this publication back to her schooling days when she became famous for her intelligence.
“As a young female child, I became famous at my primary school and neighbouring schools for my intelligence and very expressive personality, which led to me receiving two bursaries. One for the Oprah Winfrey Leadership Academy for Girls, of which forms were not submitted and as a result I did not get a chance to attend, and the second one from Allan Gray.
“There was a time where my teachers advised me to assist Grade Seven learners academically, while I was still in Grade Six,” Mbatha recalled.
She added that nothing will stand in one’s way to achieve their dreams if they put their mind to it.
