While out patrolling in the Germiston area on Thursday at 1.45pm, members of the EMPD Drug Enforcement Unit stopped and searched a suspicious-looking man.
The officers stopped the 30-year-old man at the Germiston Taxi Rank, and upon searching him they allegedly discovered two pieces of rock cocaine and seven paper-wrapped packages containing nyaope.

The estimated street value of the drugs was R800.
They also confiscated R25 in cash believed to be the proceeds of dealing in drugs.
He was arrested and taken to the Germiston Police Station.
He is due to appear in the Germiston Magistrate’s Court soon to face charges of possession of and dealing in illicit substances.
