Relief for latest Caxton PixzAR winner

"I’m going to use the money to surprise my darling wife."

Bedfordview and Edenvale NEWS reader Tshepo Swartbooi is R10 000 richer after downloading the PixzAR app and scanning his weekly dose of augmented reality content in the NEWS.

Tshepo, an avid reader of both the NEWS and Soweto Urban, said this windfall will give his family a great sense of relief.

He works as a diamond cutter in Bedfordview and lives in Soweto with his wife, two children and two of his wife’s younger siblings.

“I wasn’t expecting this and for me it felt like a long shot. I decided to download the app and enter anyway. This win came at the right time for me. I’m going to use the money to surprise my darling wife.

“We’ll use the money to pay off some of our debt and give us some relief. We work hard to be the kind of parents our children can look up to,” he said.

Tshepo has encouraged others in his office to download the app and scan the content available.

“There is so much more to our newspapers with augmented reality. I really enjoy the content I find in the newspaper and I think others will too,” he said.
