Thank you for battling for justice

I have read with enthused interest the story of retrenched Germiston Town Council employees who are now engaged with the police to recover their unpaid retirement funds. I also wish to congratulate Kathorus MAIL on following this story over the past 10 years.

Your reporter’s tenacity in following the story seems to have finally paid dividends, and I want to congratulate Kathorus MAIL for the hard work. We need more bold and daring community reporters to unearth many of the rot that has left many communities poor.

Failure to ensure that all monies owed to the retrenched employees were paid in full borders on dishonesty and fraud. It is for this reason that I think the private investigator in charge of the case should be congratulated for sharing the case with the police.

It actually hurts to read that many of these former municipal employees have since died and now their children have taken up the battle to recover the money owed to their parents. I also want to take my hat off to the private investigator, Thabo Buzwa, for his long battle to fight for justice for the underprivileged.
