The stage is set and ready at this year’s Rand Show with the Entertainment Zone ready to feature some of Joburg’s most talented individuals.

Fresh-off winning this year’s Joburg’s Talent, South Africa’s newest reality talent Snethemba Vika is swiftly turning into a seasoned performer. After a much-needed musical hiatus, the young talent has his sights set on national domination one performance at a time.

“I saw the competition and I decided to take a chance and when I won, it changed everything. I had to change where I was staying and start recording my own material. It really opened a lot of doors for me,” Vika said.

Walking away with a whopping grand prize of R50 000, Vika also bagged the opportunity to hone his craft at Stageworx School of Performing Arts. The performer advised beaming hopefuls to take the leap of faith and enter the competition.

“I saw a lot of different things this year and they were all great. When you’re on that stage, you’re loved for being who you are. If you’re thinking of entering, I would say you need to be original and practice a lot and be comfortable with what you’re doing. They’ll love you for who you are,” he said.
