In their continued efforts to curb crime in their precinct, officers from the Katlehong SAPS Crime Prevention Unit conducted several stop-and-search operations between September 26 and 27.
During the operations 13 suspects were arrested.
The accused were charged with various offences.

Charges included:
• Dealing in drugs: 3
• Driving under the influence of alcohol: 1
• Warrant of arrest: 1
• Common assault: 3
• Domestic violence: 1
• Shoplifting: 2
• Fraud: 1.
One suspect was arrested for intimidation and crimen injuria.

Katlehong SAPS station commander Brig Sammy Thambo applauded the officers on a job well done.
All of the arrested suspects appeared in the Palm Ridge Magistrate’s Court where their cases were postponed for various reasons.
