While on patrol in Pretoria Road last Saturday, officers from the Primrose Police Station were flagged down by a man.

“The informant told the police that a man had been stabbed at a local tavern in the Makause informal settlement,” said Sgt Styles Maome, communications officer for Primrose Police Station.
“When officers arrived on scene they found the victim lying in a pool of blood.
“Paramedics were summoned to the scene and certified the man dead.”

After a brief investigation and using information from a witness, the police were able to arrest a 36-year-old man in connection with the crime.
He was arrested on a charge of murder.
He has since appeared in the Germiston Magistrate’s Court.
