Thank you Kathorus MAIL

The trip would afford Dhladhla an opportunity to be groomed and empowered with leadership, negotiation, and diplomacy skills

On May 15, Phomelele Dhladhla (21), from Extension Five in Vosloorus, received a call inviting her to attend an international programme backed by the United Nations.

Dhladhla, who is a poet and motivational speaker, will be a delegate to the third instalment of the Asia Youth International Model United Nations (AYIMUN) 2019 programme. Bu there was a stumbling block to overcome. She lacked the funds to pay for her trip to Putrajaya International Convention Centre, Malaysia.

Kathorus MAIL intervened and wrote an article, published on May 17, to highlight her funding plight, and to solicit, on her behalf, sponsorship or any other monetary help.

She said she would like to thank all who supported her, providing her with donations and sponsorship.

“In all this I would like to single out Tumi Malete and his wife, Joy. They were my biggest sponsors.”
