BMW Kathorus Club hosts another charity run

The BMW Kathorus Club hosted its monthly charity run at the Break Through Centre (BTC) for orphaned and vulnerable children in Katlehong on August 10.

This was another successful charity event from the club, which had a jam-packed programme that included speeches, drama, music and other entertainment.

One of the beneficiaries of the centre gave a heartwarming speech about how the centre has assisted her and her family and how it made a positive impact in their lives.

In light of August 9 being Women’s Day, a group of young beneficiaries gave a performance, depicting the pain of violence and abuse that women and children face every day.BMW Kathorus Club also donated personal care items such as sanitary pads, toothpaste and bath soaps.

Raheim Mdaka, the club chairman, delivered a speech emphasising the club’s mandate, which is giving back to the community.

The club was formed in November 2017 and has continuously made donations to different local charities on a monthly basis.

“On behalf of the founder of the centre, Zodwa Latola, the board members and the beneficiaries of BTC, we are grateful for the personal care items we received. All items are of great use to the centre,” said pastor Tshepi Motloung, one of the board members at the centre.

She also blessed the club chairman and the members of the BMW Kathorus Club for their generosity.
