Don’t get caught by this scam, warns Germiston Child Welfare
Job seekers are warned to be vigilant and not fall for employment scam.
Germiston Child Welfare is warning the public about a woman conducting a scam using the organisation’s details.
Director of Germiston Child Welfare Barbara Bouwer said the person is using the name Marlene Summers and is pretending to be a social worker and using the organisation’s address and fax number.
The number used to correspond with victims is 084 709 0449.
“They are being told to pay to R170 at a Pep store towards “Eliza Girls’ Children’s Home” for employment positions and fax their CVs to our fax number,” said Bouwer.
“Child Welfare Germiston does not employ people in this kind of manner.

“The address where people are being told to report for duty, is in fact our address and the fax number given for CVs is our fax number as we are receiving CVs, but we have nothing to do with this scam and we are warning people not to pay any funds in the manner this person prescribes.”
As Child Welfare Germiston the organisation does not require any payment when employment opportunities present themselves, and the organisation distances itself totally from this hoax/scam.
“The matter will be reported to the SAPS for investigation,” said Bouwer.
“Please do not get caught by this scam.”
