Bus and truck collision leaves over 20 injured on N17 highway in Germiston

Multiple passengers were injured when a collision between a bus and a truck occurred on the N17 highway on Monday night.

Netcare 911 responded to the scene at 10.49pm on the highway just before the Gosforth Toll Plaza near Rand Airport.

“Paramedics assessed the scene and found that approximately 20 patients had sustained minor injuries,” said Shawn Herbst, media liaison officer for Netcare Limited.

“The patients were treated on scene and transported by various ambulance services to hospital for further treatment.”
