The co-founder of Novensi Organisation Valencia Kheswa (62) said the purpose of the ceremony was to raise funds to assist each other since they did not have funds to run their organisations. The organisation was this year’s hosts.
“We want to relieve the elderly from the stress they suffer from their homes. Their stresses come as a result of dealing with troublesome grandchildren. Others end up suffering from different chronic diseases. So we organised this event to pull them out of their stressful environment,” said Kheswa.
Each choir contributed a sum of money to be disbursed among the participating organisations. Additionally, the audience made a contribution to the pool of money that was collected.
