Three allegedly in possession of Mandrax arrested on N3 highway in Germiston

With their suspicions raised, EMPD officers stopped a vehicle and allegedly discovered drugs.

A vehicle displaying foreign number plates with three male occupants travelling on the N3 highway near the Grey Avenue off-ramp attracted the attention of the EMPD Drug Enforcement Unit (DEU) last Saturday.

They decided to stop the vehicle for a routine check.

“The DEU’s hunch proved accurate as a plastic bag containing 89 Mandrax tablets was found in the vehicle,” said Chief Supt Wilfred Kgasago, spokesperson for the EMPD.

“All three occupants of the vehicle, including the driver, were arrested.”
