In response to the 366 former Germiston City Council employees retrenched in 1993, Ekurhuleni MMC for Corporate Affairs and Services Clr Makhosazana Mabaso has confirmed her meeting with private investigator Thabo Buzwa of Buzwa Consultants and Private Investigators and other senior government officials regarding these retrenched former municipal employees.

But when asked for her comment and to elaborate on their meeting, Mabaso told Kathorus MAIL the matter is not in her hands as it had been handed to police investigators.
She promised, however, that a conclusive report would be issued as soon as the investigations are finalised and a decision on what the next step would be and a way forward is announced.
