Vosloorus Council of elders launched

The corporate will also monitor, guide, teach and strengthen relationship among the faithful.

A body corporate of believers or the Vosloorus Council of Elders (VCE) made up of senior pastors from different churches from all over Vosloorus was launched at the Vosloorus Civic Centre on May 4.

The organisation will oversee the work of the Lord, facilitate day-to-day running of churches and see to it that they operate in keeping with biblical teaching.

The corporate will ensure that pastors do not turn churches into business operations for gain, and that young pastors who plan to start churches are properly formed, and not motivated by money to be in the ministry.

Secretory of VCE apostle Prince Moses said the organisation is a non-profit organisation (NPO) under the guidance of the Bible.

“The main objective of the organisation is to present an orderly ministerial atmosphere for all churches,” said Moses.

He added: “The body corporate will provide leadership and promote peace and help with conflict resolution mechanism in our community.

“It will offer care, counselling and psychological support to victims of gender-based violence. It will also raise funds for religious, charitable, educational and philanthropic purposes.”

• The body corporate is made up 12 senior pastors from different denominations. Each pastor is allocated a department to take care of.

• The gate of learning will be overseen by pastor Bridget Mahloko.

• The gate of health and social development will be overseen by Pastor Zandi Mhlanga.

• The gate of religion will be overseen by Pastor Shadrack Morakabi.

• The gate of politics will be overseen by Bishop Vusi Mdlalose.

• The gate of NGO to be overseen by Apostle Prince Moses.

• The gate of safety and security will be headed by Bishop Clifford Mkhize.

• The gate of training and development to be headed by Apostle Joseph Mabeba.

• Prophet Hosea Mpshe will head the gates of business and development.

• Pastor Kairos Langa will be in charge of the gate of transport.

• Apostle Lucas Langa will be in charge of the gate of media Relations.

• The gate of public participation and engagement will be headed by Reverend Johannes Radebe.

• Gate of food and security will be headed by Pastor Sarah Sibisi.

Reverend Doctor Xolo presided over the ordination and also awarded certicates to the elders of the church.

“I hope you will be able to identify hyenas who are aiming to destroy the word of God,” said Xolo.
