Three nabbed with suspected stolen gate motors

Primrose police apprehended three men for possession of suspected stolen property.

While on patrol in Rietfontein Road, last Friday, officers from the Primrose Police Station noticed a suspicious-looking white sedan.

“Police asked the three occupants, aged between 32 and 35 years old, to exit the vehicle,” said Sgt Styles Maome, communications officer for the Primrose police.

The men and the vehicle were searched.

“During the search police found two D5 gate motors and tools,” said Maome.

“The men were asked for proof of ownership for the gate motors and when they were unable to provide any they were arrested.”

The suspects were taken to the Primrose Police Station where they were charged with possession of suspected stolen property.

They have since appeared in the Germiston Magistrate’s Court, where their case was postponed for plea and trial.
