Sgt Solly Chavalala and Const Harold Kgare Mokgari from the Germiston Flying Squad, who were on the N17 conducting routine patrols, received a lookout from the SAPS communication radio about the black VW Polo.

The members spotted a motor vehicle fitting the description and they approached and stopped it at the Gosforth Plaza.

“Upon searching the car, two .38 special revolvers were found in the possession of the suspects and the officers also suspected the motor vehicle had been stolen as the registration number of the vehicle had no information attached to it,” said Ngcobo.
