Help solve the mystery of a forgotten gravesite

This publication like to speak to any resident who may have any information on the history of the site or know the living relatives of the people buried there.

Within a stone’s throw of the Chris Hani Crossing Shopping Mall on Bierman Road in Vosloorus, quietly sits an unkempt, deteriorating and forgotten grave site.

The serious disrepair gives the impression the site had been left to decay for decades.

Most of the grave headstones were from the mid-1800s to late 1800s and appear to have historical value, with gravestones probably made in the 1800s, with some creations showing skills of craftsmen and masons from that era.

Located on a very busy road, and now surrounded by a small golf course, the easy-to-miss graveyard is the final resting place for an estimated 20 people.
