Thank you Kathorus MAIL and EMM

I'm writing to thank Kathorus MAIL and the Ekurhuleni Metropolitan Municipality (EMM) for giving us a platform to air our complaints about the violation of by-laws in Kathorus.

I would also like to point that since the by-laws articles appeared in the newspaper, my neighbourhood has been a lot quieter with fewer parties over weekends.

As residents, we have suffered a lot in the past with no one to help us resolve the noise pollution issues in our residential areas. I wish to ask the municipality to continue with this programme of ridding our residential areas of noise polluters.

We need help with by-laws issues

Now the noise pollution issue has been dealt with, I would like to see more being done about the issue of litter. Former Ekurhuleni mayor Mondli Gungubele did a stunning job in cleaning up the area while he was mayor.

I further want to appeal to local residents to please respect the city’s by-laws and make sure we keep our townships quiet and clean at all times.
