PT Xulu Secondary shown improvement

Mzikayise Ngada, DA PR councillor deployed in Vosloorus, visited PT Xulu Secondary School after the school showed improvement in their matric results.

The results improved by 11.7 per cent. Ngada told Kathorus MAIL he was impressed by the results of the class of 2018.

“Their pass rate improved from 70.62 per cent in 2017 to 82.3 per cent in 2018. I wish to equally congratulate the teachers and learners for all the effort they put for this achievement. I also wish to encourage those who didn’t make it and say to them it is not the end of the road, they can still work hard and change their fortunes,” said Ngada.

Out of the 158 who passed, 57 got bachelor’s passes, 47 diploma passes and 26 higher certificate passes.

Explaining the purpose of visiting the school, Ngada said: “This is one of the schools that was in the eyes of media the previous year for all the wrong reasons and bad things reported about the school.
