The City of Ekurhuleni will launch its Arrive Alive campaign tdoay (Wednesday, December 5) in Katlehong.
According to Road Traffic Management Corporation 2017 road fatality report, about 14 050 people died on the South African roads last year.
More than 35 per cent of those were pedestrians.
The Arrive Alive campaign launch, to be officiated by the City of Ekurhuleni MMC for Community Safety Vivienne Chauke and Ekurhuleni Metropolitan Police Department Chief of Police Isaac Mapiyeye, will focus on road safety awareness for motorists and pedestrians, as well as law enforcement.
