Kalfa official urges all to perform well

Katlehong Local Football Association (Kalfa) held an awarding ceremony for their u-11, u-13, u-15 and u-17 teams.

The award ceremony took place at Tshabalala Primary School, Phake Section, Katlehong, on November 24.

The teams that finished first on the log was awarded a new set of soccer kits, trophies and gold medals.

The teams finishing on the second spot received silver medals.

Those who finished third were awarded bronze medals.

The teams that took the top spots are u-11 Phake Stars, u-13 United FC, u-15 Katlehong Brothers and u-17 Peace Makers.

The second position teams are u-11 Katlehong Rivals, u-13 Trompies FC, u-15 Lamola FC and u-17 Katlehong Brothers.

The teams that finished third are u-11 Thwala Aces, u-13 Young Chiefs, u-15 Bataung FC and u-17 Katlehong Warriors.

The four referees who performed well were awarded trophies.

Kalfa treasurer Josiah Cindi encouraged good performing teams to continue to be the shining light of the association.

“Those who did not get any silverware must continue to work hard. Maybe next time they will be rewarded with silverware,” said Cindi.

The association’s fixture started in February and finished in November.
