Donate towards grocery hampers for the elderly

The GCN has teamed up with Rest-a-While to collect groceries for the elderly.

Many people are already making their festive season plans and getting ready for a well-deserved break.

However, for some elderly residents, the reality of the festive season is bleak as they do not have the funds to sustain themselves.

To this end, the GCN is teaming up with Rest-a-While Service Centre for the Elderly to help bring some Christmas cheer to elderly members of the centre.

The aim is to collect enough groceries to make up 200 hampers for senior citizens.

There must be enough food to last each of them for the 15 days Rest-a-While is closed over the festive season.

Everyday necessities are needed to fill the hampers.

The GCN and Rest-a-While are appealing to the community to help feed an elderly resident this festive season.
