Patients from the Thelle Mogoerane Regional Hospital in Vosloorus celebrated life after spinal cord injury at Carnival City on September 26.
They were treated to lunch and enjoyed uplifting chatter at the Fego Café.
For many of them it was the first time that they have ventured out in public since being injured.
The excursion, to mark World Spinal Cord Injury Day on September 5, forms part of the patients’ rehabilitation and integration back into society following hospitalisation.
