Get active with the Cool Dads’ Foundation

Come and join in the fun at the second annual Cool Dads’ Foundation Family Fiesta Fun Walk at Germiston Lake.

The Cool Dads’ Foundation is inviting families to join them for a day of fun in the sun at the second annual Family Fiesta Fun Walk.

“Last year’s event was a huge success, with over 700 participants.

“We had an amazing experience with a beautiful diversity of families all having a good time for a good cause,” said Bongani Luvalo, Cool Dads’ Foundation CEO.

“This year we plan to make it even bigger and better and would love to see an even bigger crowd from all across Ekurhuleni joining us for this exciting fund-raiser.”

The event at Germiston Lake on November 25 will start with 5km and 10km walks, set to start at 7am, which will be followed by a picnic.

The picnic will be filled with fun activities for children including a visit from cartoon characters and face painting, all to the sounds of an event DJ.

“The purpose of this fun day is to revive families and create an atmosphere where people from different backgrounds can get together and have a fun-filled day,” said Bongani.

In addition to a fun day in the sun, the foundation hopes to raise money for their Big Brother Mentorship Programme which focuses on mentoring young boys through camps, workshops, educational outings and career guidance.

“We are looking forward to making memories with all the families who support this fund-raiser as they contribute to bringing positive change in the lives of young boys from disadvantaged backgrounds,” said Bongani.
