Katlehong SAPS arrests 25 suspects

The arrested suspects appeared in the Palm Ridge Magistrate’s Court according to their different charges.

Katlehong SAPS arrested 25 suspects on the weekend of September 21 to 24 for various offences.

Communications officer at Katlehong SAPS Const Sivenkosi Mtwa said suspects were arrested during routine stop-and-search operations conducted by Katlehong Crime Prevention members and EMPD.

“Suspects were arrested, among others, for the following crimes: attempted rape which includes assault, theft, common robbery, possession of suspected stolen property, assault common which include domesitic violence, selling liquor without a licence,” said Mtwa.

He said other suspects were arrested for armed robbery, house break-in and theft, malicious damage to property, theft of motor vehicle, reckless driving and intimidation, possession of drugs and drunken driving.
