Mpanza family receives prayers from TMF

Thokoza Ministers Fraternal (TMF) visited the Mpanza family in Mavimbela Section in Katlehong on June 2.

Nonkululeko Xaba (9), one of the two children whose bodies were found molested and dumped in an open veld in Thokoza, was part of this family.

The purpose of TMF’s visit was to offer prayer and at the same cry with the family.

Bishop and the chairperson of TMF Zwelihle Motsielwa from Jerusalem Apostolic Faith Mission said they want the family to know they are not alone during this time.

“We know they are going through a painful situation, especially because the police have not yet put the suspects to book. We are not only here to comfort them but also to make them know that the community of Thokoza and the local churches are with them during his time. At the same time, we want to pray for the police so that they find the suspects who robbed these little souls’ of their lives.

“We normally have meetings once a month with an aim of praying for peace in the township. As from now, we will dedicate that time to praying that the killers be found and put to book,” said Motsielwa.

He said they want to come up with a plan to keep children from the township safe.

“But we are yet to sit down and discuss how. Actually, the plans are in the pipeline,” said Motsielwa.

Lilly Mpanza, Nonkululeko’s grandmother, thanked the TMF members for their kind gesture.

“Their visit means a lot to us as the family since we lost one of our members. Nonkululeko was a child who loved to give to the poor children in the township. She was good at looking after and taking care of other children. I am sure her death will leave a huge dent, not only to us but to other poor children and orphans that Nonkululeko was taking care of,” said Lilly.
