Pensioners in Katlehong hear about Sassa

The prestigious event took place at a fully packed Katlehong Barrack Hall.

Communications officer at Katlehong SAPS Capt Mega Ndobe said the purpose of the event was to inform the elderly about the latest developments at the South African Social Security Agency (Sassa).

“Speakers from Sassa were also present to discuss in detail the changes of Sassa payments to the Post Office. They addressed people about the deductions and the loans that elderly people are making which affect their social grant,” said Ndobe.

He also said pensioners were told to refrain from signing anything related to money. Instead, they must seek advice from their children or grandchildren.

Questions were asked by the elderly and answered accordingly.
