Communications officer at Katlehong SAPS Capt Mega Ndobe said the deceased was shot at while walking on the street on his way to work.
“He was attacked by an unknown suspect who shot him dead, 100 metres away from his place. The suspect was shot in the upper body and died on the scene,” said Ndobe.
He added that no arrest has been made as the police are still investigating.
“We are appealing to anyone with information that can lead to the arrest of the suspect to phone the emergency line on 08600 10111 or send an anonymous tip-off or report it at the nearest police station,” said Ndobe.
