Man nabbed for selling dagga

Members of the Katlehong detectives tracing team arrested a man who is suspected of dealing in dagga on Thursday, January 25.

It is alleged that the suspect was busy selling dagga at Kwanele Park in Katlehong when the four detectives, acting on information they had received, arrived on the scene.

Communications officer at Katlehong Police Station, Const Sivenkosi Mtwa, said the suspect was arrested on the spot.

“On arrival at the park the detectives found the suspect in possession of dagga worth R50 000 at street value. He is expected to appear in the Palm Ridge Magistrate’s Court to face charges of dealing in dagga,” said Mtwa.

The four detectives who made the successful arrest are Sgt Aphane Mayisela, Sgt Sithembile Sithole, Const Wongama Nkebe and Const Dorcas Motshele.
