Elections for Ward 59 yet to be held

The Independent Electoral Commission (IEC) in Ekurhuleni has issued the date November 15 as the day when the by-elections will take place in Ward 59.

A vacancy has arisen due to the death of Clr Teboho Maama on August 10.

The special votes will be on November 14 from 8am to 5pm but only for those who have applied and been approved for special votes.

On November 15 voting stations will open at 7am and close at 9pm.

The voting stations are as follows:

*Ponego Secondary School.

*Hleziphi School.

*Hostel Offices and

*God’s Will Mission Ministries.

The ward is contested by five parties. Those are:

*African National Congress (ANC) represented by Sibongile Elizabeth Mathonsi .

*Democratic Alliance (DA) represented by Pule Percy Ngonzo.

*Economic Treedom Fighter (EFF) represented by Simanga Ezekiel Tsotetsi .

*Inkatha Freedom Party (IFP) will be represented by Sibongile Terresa Mkhize and

*National Freedom Party (NFP) will be represented by Sakhile Douglas Zondo .

Voters are requested to come in their numbers to vote for the political party candidates.
