For Print & Online Publications

at our Boksburg Branch

RESPONSIBILITIES• Proofing editorial copy to ensure accuracy, correct grammar and spelling• Checking headlines, punctuation and captions on photos to ensure accuracy • Ensure contentious issues are thoroughly checked before publication • Help with staff training

REQUIREMENTS• 3 Years’ exp. as Sub Editor/Senior Journalist • Excellent writing and language skills • Extensive general knowledge • Meticulous, organised and deadline driven• Good understanding and knowledge of media law and ethics • Fluent in English and Afrikaans • Own transport and valid driver’s licence • Candidates with newspaper or

magazine experience preferred • Must have knowledge of Media Law and the South African Press Code.
