Mdlankomo gives uniforms to patrollers

Katlehong SAPS head Brig Phumla Mdlankomo handed over uniforms to hard-working CPF patrollers on Friday, August 11.

Members of the social crime prevention unit, members of community safety and Katlehong CPF members were present during the handover.

The communications official at the Katlehong Police Station, Capt Mega Ndobe, said the initiative came at the right time.

“There is a serious need in the area to reduce criminal activities. More visible policing means less crime in this area,” said Ndobe.

Delivering her speech, Mdlankomo said it is important to work together in the fight against crime.

“Working together we can get to the root of crime in our area, and we can defeat it,” said Mdlankomo.

She said she appreciates the fact that the patrollers are volunteers and that they do a good job.
