Police head organises Women’s Day celebration

Katlehong Police Station commander Brig Phumla Mdlankomo on Wednesday, August 9, organised a special Women’s Day celebration for policewomen in the client service centre.

Communications official at Katlehong Police Station Capt Mega Ndobe said the female officers were surprised.

“No one was expecting it. They didn’t even know where to go and celebrate the day,” said Ndobe.

He said service delivery continued as usual.

“Women who came in for help at the station were asked to join in the celebration.

“The police thanked Mdlankomo for her good deed,” said Ndobe.

The station commander motivated the police and asked them to love their job.

“I would like you to feel at home and love waking up in the morning and coming to work,” Mdlankomo said.

She said the police must wear their badges with pride and respond positively to clients who come to the police station for help.
