Communication official at Katlehong SAPS, Capt Mega Ndobe, said a man is accused of killing his 23-year-old girl friend.
“The man allegedly killed his own girlfriend by stabbing her in her upper body after they had an argument about a five-month-old baby girl the woman leaves behind when she goes to the tavern,” said Ndobe.
“The woman tried to get some help but collapsed and died at the neighbour’s gate. When the paramedics arrived, they certified her dead on the scene,” said Ndobe.
He said the police traced the man until they found him hiding at the nearby church.
Ndobe said the man broke into the church and hid inside.
He said the suspect is expected to appear in Palm Ridge Court soon and will be charged with murder.
