Career expo held at Lethukuthula High School

The expo was organised by Royal Careers, guide matric learners in their career choices.

Twelve different schools attended the expo, including Lethukuthula High School, Mpilisweni Secondary School, Fumana Secondary School, Ponego Secondary School, Katlehong Secondary School, Katlehong Tech, Eketsang Secondary School, Alafang Secondary School, Phumlani Secondary School, Sijabulile Secondary School, Mpontseng Secondary School and Kwadukathole Secondary School.

Thirteen varsities and colleges were also present to show learners the various courses they offer. These included Damelin, Mufanung, Sandton Technical College, Digital Canvas Academy, College for Business and Maritime Studies, Rosebank College, Jeppe College, Afric Training Centre, Rand Water, Hydro International College, City Varsity College, Birnam College and Hair Academy of South Africa Alberton.

Pascal Lwambwa, the CEO of Royal Management, the umbrella body that runs Royal Careers, said they wanted to empower young South Africans.

“Our job is to empower young South Africans by giving them the knowledge they need to be able to choose careers that suit them. We help them understand their personality, because personality is a very important consideration if one wants to be successful in a specific career,” said Lwambwa.

He said Royal Careers organises career expos and opens up job opportunities for the youth.

“We do it around South Africa. We also organise bursaries and learnerships. We also guide those who want to study or work overseas. We are actually a marketing company that wants no profit. We only give back to the community, and we’ve been doing that for the past four years,” Lwambwa said.

Lwambwa said Royal Careers also helps connect companies to learners.

“We help those companies to find learners who deserve bursaries. We are the gateway for them anyone who wants to help the youth financially,” said Lwambwa.

He said Royal Careers has helped more than 100 000 youth in South Africa.
