Communications official at Katlehong SAPS, Capt Mega Ndobe, has confirmed the arrest.
“The police were called by the community members about a robbery that was taking place at a policewoman’s house.
“It is believed the suspect was demanding that she give him her police service firearm at gunpoint.
“When police arrived, they managed to corner and apprehend the suspect,” said Ndobe.
The suspect was arrested on the spot in possession of a firearm.
“During the police investigation, it was discovered that the suspect was threatening the police with a toy gun.
“The suspect was arrested and detained,” said Ndobe.
He said the suspect will appear in court soon, charged with pointing a firearm and intimidation. The investigation is continuing.
