Wife arrested for stabbing her husband

Katlehong SAPS arrested a 22-year-old woman on Tuesday, March 21, for assault with the intent to cause grievous bodily harm, in Mavimbela Section, Katlehong.

Communications official at Katlehong Police Station, Capt Mega Ndobe, said the woman was arrested for allegedly stabbing her husband.

“It is alleged that her 30-year-old husband requested transport money from his wife, as he was supposed to go to work on a public holiday. She refused. The fight started when the man phoned his friends to assist him with transport money.

“It is alleged that the woman took out two knives and started to attack her husband. She stabbed him in both arms. He went to the clinic where the stab wounds were treated and stitched up. The victim was discharged on the same day.

“The matter was reported at Katlehong Police Station, and a case of assault with intent to inflict bodily harm was registered. The suspect was arrested on the same day, in Mavimbela Section.

“The suspect is expected to appear in Palm Ridge Court soon. The investigation in this matter is still continuing,” said Ndobe.
