Look after children these holidays

The school season is coming to an end and soon our streets and playgrounds will be filled with young children, many of then unaccompanied by adults.

My advice to parents and guardians out there is that South Africa is no longer what it used to be. Today, our streets are filled with people who find nothing wrong with performing the weirdest crimes one can think of. Our media is filled with stories of children being abducted and later found killed and mutilated beyond recognition.

Please dear loving and caring parents and guardians, don’t wait until it happens to yours before you realise just how vulnerable our children will be during these holidays. As the old saying goes; Don’t be sorry, just be careful.
