Harare man empowering Vosloorus women

Murinda believes that giving opportunities to women is the best a man can do for women.

Tatenda Murinda (26) from Harare, Zimbabwe, who resides in Vosloorus, is using Women’s Month to empower women by giving them jobs in his business.

“I started my business of manufacturing washing baskets and water-boiling buckets in 2013 because I was unemployed and I needed to put food on the table for my family. I chose this business because I have a passion for it. I have an eight-month-old daughter and a wife,” said Murinda.

Murinda believes that giving opportunities to women is the best a man can do for women.

“This month I felt a need to have two more hands to assist me in the business. So I decided to employ two women to help me grow my business. Because it is Women’s Month, I felt a need to give opportunities to women.

“I employed two dedicated and hard-working women, Tambudzai Gwizo (23) and Habana Manala (25) and they are working very hard to help achieve my goal. Gwizo is working in manufacturing and Manala is marketing the business,” said Murinda.

He said people who are interested in ordering washing baskets or water-boiling buckets may call him on 084 093 8767 or 073 122 8310. Or they can view his work in Mfundo Park, 20348 Mfisane Lane, Vosloorus.

“If you place an order we can hand deliver to your doorstep,” said Murinda.

Manala said, “We use a very strong material to make these washing baskets and they last a very long time. If you ask those who bought our products, they will tell you they carry a lifetime guarantee. At the moment we are using blue shades but very soon we will be using different colours. If you are a woman or man who likes stylish things, look no further. We have style that will suit you just fine. We are also planning to make different designs and sizes in the future,” said Manala.

Gwizo says, “These are the most beautiful washing baskets I have ever seen. You won’t waste your money if you buy one.”
