Four foreign nationals were arrested on Saturday night after a shooting in Nhlapo Section, in Katlehong.
The men, aged between 18 and 29 years old, were charged with possession of an unlicensed firearm and live ammunition, as well as, attempted murder.
The arrests were made after Katlehong police received reports of a robbery.
“Officers arrived on scene and found three members of the public had been shot,” said Sgt Rufus Tema, from the Katlehong SAPS.
“They were taken to a local hospital for treatment.”
It was not confirmed if the victims were involved in the robbery.
“During a search of the shop officers found an unlicensed firearm and several live rounds of ammunition,” said Tema.
Four men, believed to be the store’s owners, were arrested and taken to the Katlehong Police Station.
