Late night police operation in photographs
Sithole promised to provide Kathorus MAIL with figures detailing some of the cases where cops were dismissed for corruption and those who are undergoing investigation.
These photographs were captured during a police operation led by the Ekurhuleni district commissioner Major General Anna Sithole at Bierman Road near Voslorus SAPS on April 28.
Kathorus MAIL posed questions to Sithole about police corruption during the operation.
In her response, Sithole encouraged residents and anti-crime forums to report corruption, citing that they do not tolerate corruption and corrupt cops are dealt with.
Sithole promised to provide Kathorus MAIL with figures detailing some of the cases where cops were dismissed for corruption and those who are undergoing investigation.
After following up with Sithole and the Ekurhuleni district spokesperson Nelder Sikgobla, they failed to provide the MAIL with the figures.
