A man with a black Audi was hijacked in Phumula by three males.

Alberton SAPS is on the hunt for three male hijackers.

According to Capt Manare Ramotshela of Alberton SAPS, the complainant was allegedly travelling in his black Audi after dropping off his friend in Phumula. When he parked the vehicle, he was approached by three men who pointed a firearm at him.

The victim made a run for it and threw the car keys away, but one of the suspects picked it up. The suspects then drove off in the vehicle.

According to Ramotshela, the victim drew his own gun and fired at the vehicle.

“At least 15 shots were fired; however, the suspects got away.

“Role players attended the scene, and no one was reported injured. Although the vehicle had a tracking device, the car has not yet been found.”
