Cambridge wins in Vosloorus

The Cambridge team secured a win against the Vosloorus team.

Cambridge FC faced the Golden Boys from Vosloorus in an away game on November 27.

The match took place at the Vosloorus Stadium.

“From the onset, our boys made it clear they wanted to end the theme of losing away games,” said coach Ignatius Maphike.

“The team showed dominance and their hunger for an away win by keeping the ball in their possession and by circulating it all over the pitch.”

The Golden Boys team; however, did not sit back. They tried to push back harder, making the match more competitive.

The Cambridge team made its mark on the scoreboard in the 10th minute of the first half when striker Oupa Mbokazi scored.

The team gained confidence from this goal and was encouraged to push harder to secure a good lead.

In the 40th minute of the first half, Mbokazi scored again, putting the team in a 2-0 lead heading into half-time.
The second half of the match saw the same dominance and hunger in the Cambridge team, who kept control of the ball despite the windy conditions.

Good teamwork saw the third goal of the match secured in the 75th minute of the game.

Cambridge won the match 3-0.

“The win is always good for us,” said Maphike.

“We just need to believe we can get the maximum points from away games.

“The team is working hard,” said head coach Godfrey Hermanus.

“We can only improve from here.

“Thank you to the community and investors who continue to support us. We are nothing without your input and assistance.”
