Alberton North artist moves to different genre

Alberton North artist Neo Ntsukunyane recently released his new EP titled Another One.

Rapper Neo Ntsukunyane, also known by his stage name Ace Makasana, has again released another EP after moving from a different genre.

The 34-year-old recently published his long-awaited EP titled Another One, which has six hit songs.

The independent recording local rapper and now amapiano artist has recently released his debut hit produced by Mike Nethonzhe and mastered by DJ Nova SA.

He has since been featured in Exclusive Times after celebrating his release.

The Alberton North-born star got his long-waited breakthrough after years of waiting and being taken from pillar to post.

His journey to stardom started at the age of 19 as a dancer. He was among a group of three itinerant youngsters who performed in various local townships.

“This boosted my confidence and I ended up performing for well-known kwaito artists like Brown Dash and Teargas. I have jumped to a new genre of music called amapiano. This is a style of house music that emerged in the country in 2012 and is making waves,” said Ace.

Ace said the reason behind the move to a new genre was inspired by a need to grow as an artist and to explore other ventures.

“This EP reflects my life’s story on how I found myself and grew to where I am today. I now see things differently. In this EP, I talk about challenges I faced from 2018 to now. This EP shares more about my journey,” he said.

Ace, who also owns a clothing brand, told the RECORD that one song from his EP, which he best resonates with is Phusha Skorokoro.
