Catch Brian McKnight live at Carnival City
Brian McKnight will perform his one and only Gauteng show at Carnival City’s Festival Lawns.
EKURHULENI – Brian McKnight’s fans can look forward to a spectacular outdoor concert under the stars, featuring all of his best hits on Saturday September 19.
McKnight is not only getting better with age, but also with life, love and music – a journey echoed in the sounds and lyrics of his most heartfelt album to date.
“We are thrilled to confirm that Brian McKnight will be performing on our Festival Lawns this spring. In true McKnight style, the concert will be a laidback and captivating showcase of his favourite songs, with the starlit sky as backdrop,” said Matthew Cook, entertainment and events manager for Carnival City.
McKnight, brought to South Africa by Marmalade Productions, needs little introduction. With 15 released albums, many of which went double platinum, and over 30 million records sold, it comes as no surprise that McKnight has a massive fan base in SA.
During his career, McKnight has worked with Quincy Jones, Justin Timberlake, Mariah Carey, P Diddy, Christina Aguilera, Rascal Flatts, Nelly, Vanessa Williams, Willie Nelson and Kenny G. He has been nominated for 16 Grammys and one American Music Award (AMA). McKnight has received one Soul Train music award and one NAACP Image award.
McKnight will be releasing his soulful sixteenth album entitled, Better, just before his tour to SA.
The 90 minute concert kicks off at 19:00. Tickets start from R495 per person and are on sale at Computicket.
